Hi all! I know, I am lame. I haven't posted in a while. Hope everyone's holidays were awesome. We spent the holidays in Pittsburgh. It was weird for me, being that it was my first Christmas away from South Florida. But, it is time to start our new traditions with our new family. I cooked a very large Baked Ziti (enough to feed the entire zip code) and chicken parm. It turned out great and Chi was happy and full. We can't wait til next year to see Addison on her first Christmas.
New Years Eve we went to dinner at a beautiful restaurant in downtown Pittsburgh on the water called the Grand Concourse. It is an old train station with beautiful stained glass ceilings. Chi's coworker, Priscilla, joined us and it was a very nice evening. We are not much in the party animal crowd-so we were home by 10:30 in time to watch Dick Clark which made me cry to watch).
As far as the pregnancy goes....
I have been seeing a Maternal Fetal Medicine doc as well as my OB. As far as the docs are concerned, I am considered Gestational Diabetic. I have been put on Glyburide, which is to help control my insulin levels. We had an Ultrasound on Dec 24 to see how big the little monster is getting and they determined the weight around 6 lbs. They don't want her to get too big, so I go for another ultrasound this Friday to see how big she is now. If she is getting big, they want to do an amnio next week to determine if her lungs are mature, then induce the next day. AHHH! It's exciting to think that she may be here next week! I will keep everyone posted.
Hope everyone has a great 2009
