Has it really been a year since I blogged? What a SLACKER I am!! We are approaching Addison's first birthday next Tuesday :( My baby is now a toddler and I have no idea where the last year went....
We are having a Korean celebration on Sat night and a traditional party on Sunday with all of Addy's bff's...
You all may know, we are expecting another girl in May (May 24 EDD). We are throwing around names but really love Sara Ashlyn. I have no idea how having two under two will affect my already chaotic life. Maybe I will be able to shower once a week. We are very psyched about another rugrat and can't wait to share her with the world like Simba in Lion King.
I have had a non eventful pregnancy thus far (thank the Lord). We decided to use a midwife this time due to the "medicalization" of the first pregnancy. You may or may not know of the gestational diabetes I had with Addison and the impact on my pregnancy. I was in and out of the OB, hospital, diabetes center, Glucose testing, fetal monitoring...etc... and it took a lot out of me. I wanted to enjoy this pregnancy for what it is, and not feel like a medical condition...
Patrick Thornton is my midwife and he rocks!!! He is so laid back and lets me be the boss of my own body. I just love him and am actually looking forward to trying a natural childbirth this time (if you heard about my epidural experience, you know why). We just wrote out our birth plan and, even though I know NOTHING will go as planned, I am confident in my abilities to handle this birth on my own.
well, my 5 minutes are up, time to chase Addison through the house and wash some diapers (cloth diapering is fun)!!!!
